In Kenya Harambee means together; it’s used when a common effort is necessary  in order to accomplish an objective; ours  is development.  Harambee -Together for the Development- is firstly an organization of people, with different paths and experiences, joined in the solidarity among populations.

 

Harambee  -Together for the Development- is a NGO organisation and therefore is recognized under the  non profit category.
The acronym NGO means non governmental organization and indicates an association non profit, that  promotes and realizes international activities and co-operations to the development and  or to humanitarian emergencies, pursuing an aim of general interest.

 

 The main normative references are contained under Legge 49/1987 New   disciplines for the cooperation of Italy with countries under  development and in the  Legislative Decree 460/1997    reorders  the fiscal discipline of the agencies do not rade them and of the non lucrative organizations of social usefulness. Based on art.  10 of the D.Lgs. 460/1997, the ONG and ONLUS are considered automatically.
The acronym ONLUS means non lucrative organization of social usefulness. Its activities can carry out compulsorily listed in art. 10 of the D.Lgs. 460/1997 and pursue exclusively for social solidarity.
